Family Acceptance Project (FAP) Training
We collaborate with the Family Acceptance Project (FAP) to implement a wide range of FAP trainings to help ethnically, racially and religiously diverse families to learn to support and affirm their LGBTQ+ children. These include trainings for families, providers, educators, religious leaders and youth which are provided virtually and onsite and can be customized for agencies and systems of care. To learn more, view our menu of courses below.
Content focuses on: Addressing basic questions about supporting LGBTQ+ children, youth and families; using FAP’s evidence-based family support strategies and multilingual family support resources in schools, behavioral health, medical and social service settings and with religious leaders, community groups and youth; and applying FAP’s family support model and implementing the integrated FAP – TF-CBT model for trauma treatment with LGBTQ+ children, youth and families.
To date, FAP has provided education and training for more than 120,000 families, providers, religious leaders and young people across the U.S. and in several other countries.
